At the dawn of the partnership between Jaeger and LeCoultre, the Duoplan represented a genuine industry revolution. Built on two superimposed planes, the Duoplan calibre was an invitation for both companies to express their creativity with beautiful and inventive designs. It was also a revolution for LeCoultre & Cie, which, thanks to the Duoplan, made the transition from a movement and component producer to a full-fledged watch manufacturer. The boldly graphic 1949 Duoplan Tubogas secret watch reflects Jaeger-LeCoultre’s creative diversity and the distinctive Tubogas style of 1940s jewellery design. Its ribbed 18K Pink Gold (750/1000) bracelet and cover of the dial with the Yellow Gold case contrats echoes the vertical lines of its cover, concealing the dial until the wearer chooses to reveal it. Its ribbed 18K Pink Gold (750/1000) bracelet and dial cover contrast with the 18K Yellow Gold (750/1000) case, echoing the vertical lines of the cover, which conceals the dial until the wearer chooses to reveal it. Equipped with the Jaeger-LeCoultre manual-winding Duoplan Calibre 403.
