Bernard Richards' journey into watchmaking began when he was just 14 years old. His parents, professional jewellers, decided to expand their field of expression to include watches and founded a high-end brand called Richards Zeger. Engaged in this family venture and fascinated by the world he was discovering, Bernard Richards attended various watchmaking, micromechanics, and jewellery schools.

As he gained experience and dexterity, he established the B.R.M manufacture in 1986.
