The Cabernet 'Eyrie' is a unique rollerball: the wood of the barrel comes from the original Eyrie Vineyard that fathered the 1975 'South Block Reserve, the famous wine that placed in the top 10 pinot noirs at the Olympiades des Vins in Paris in 1979, the first American pinot to successfully compete with the French Burgundies. This 100-piece limited edition pen is crafted in proud partnership with The Eyrie Vineyards and it features the wood from that original planting of grapes. The accents on the carbon fiber cap are in Mokume Gane and hand-forged Damascus, topped with a medallion in rose gold. The pocket clip is set with a ruby. This beautiful writing instrument also features William Henry's patent-pending cap closure system €“ a ring of chromium steel balls embedded in a titanium ring which is captured in wave-shaped grooves in titanium collars for closed and post positions. For wine connoisseurs, proud Americans, and admirers of fine timeless craftsmanship.
